Position Summary

The Mechanical Engineer Intern will gain hands-on experience by assisting the Engineering Department with product design, development, and testing. The role provides exposure to the full engineering cycle—from concept and CAD modeling to prototype builds and product validation. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers to support projects that drive innovation and improve manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with 3D modeling and 2D drafting using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).

  • Support the design and development of new product components and assemblies.

  • Perform engineering calculations and basic analysis to validate designs.

  • Participate in prototype builds, testing, and evaluation of mechanical systems.

  • Create and update bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and technical documentation.

  • Assist in resolving engineering change requests and supporting continuous product improvements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks experience preferred).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
