Location: Mechanicsville, Maryland
Reports To: Director of Parts
The Parts Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the parts department while serving as the on-site leader for the dealership location, working closely with the Service Manager. This role ensures strong customer service, accurate inventory control, and alignment with company goals. It also supports cross-departmental collaboration and fosters a positive workplace culture.
Lead, mentor, and manage all parts department staff.
Ensure accurate binning, receiving, and cycle counts.
Drive parts sales by delivering exceptional service to walk-in, phone, online and internal customers.
Proactively seek out new customers and business opportunities through route calls and outside sales efforts.
Monitor and manage department KPIs such as margin, fill rate, return recovery, aged POs, and inventory adjustments.
Oversee warranty, core returns, freight recovery, and special-order parts processes.
Support seasonal promotions aligned with manufacturer programs.
Utilize dealership systems (e.g., IntelliDealer, DealerPath) to manage daily operations.
Serve as the primary point of leadership and accountability for the dealership location.
Foster a collaborative, team-first environment across all departments.
Act as a liaison between store staff and upper management.
Partner with HR and department heads in hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for customers and employees.
Support execution of company initiatives and operational improvements.
Monthly after hours on call for the store and company as scheduled.
Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
3–5 years of experience in a parts management or dealership operations role.
Proven leadership and team development skills.
Strong understanding of inventory control and parts flow.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Proficient in dealership software systems (IntelliDealer experience preferred).
Familiarity with agricultural or turf equipment and parts is a plus.
Valid Drivers license.
Current DOT medical certificate or ability to obtain and maintain certification.
A self-starter with strong organizational skills.
