  • Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our supply chain team as a Logistics Specialist 2.
  • This role is critical in ensuring the timely flow of materials and resolving part shortages that impact production.
  • You will serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, working cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to drive resolution and maintain operational continuity.


Responsibilities:
Expedite & Escalation Management

  • Lead and manage part shortage escalations across departments and suppliers.
  • Coordinate expedited shipments and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize production impact.
  • Serve as the escalation point for material delays, proactively identifying and resolving issues.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with procurement, logistics, production, and leadership teams to align on material priorities.
  • Communicate status updates and recovery plans to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


Material Flow & Inventory Oversight

  • Monitor inventory levels and open orders using SAP and other ERP tools.
  • Track and report on material movement, delivery performance, and expedite metrics.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts related to material availability.


Transportation & Logistics Coordination

  • Evaluate and execute transportation options (air, ground, courier) to meet critical timelines.
  • Liaise with carriers and 3PLs to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or material planning.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of transportation and logistics processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
