Job Description
We are seeking skilled Engine Builders to join our client’s team in New Hudson, MI. This role involves assembling, rebuilding, and testing marine engines with a focus on precision, quality, and performance. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical manuals, using hand and power tools to assemble components, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring engines meet performance standards. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and previous experience in engine assembly or related mechanical work.
Job Duties
Assemble, rebuild, and test marine engines and related components.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Use precision measuring tools, hand tools, and power equipment to perform assembly.
Inspect parts for defects or wear and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues during build and testing.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety guidelines.
Document work performed and ensure engines meet quality and performance standards.
Qualifications
Previous experience in engine building, assembly, or mechanical repair (marine, automotive, or heavy equipment experience preferred).
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed assembly instructions.
Skilled with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches).
Basic knowledge of engine systems, fuel, and electrical components.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus.
