Job Description
** PLEASE NOTE: Although this is a telephone support position, the incumbent will be working out of our Fort Collins, Colorado office. This is not a remote/work from home position)
We are a well-established, reputable IT provider specific to the dental industry with locations and customers across the country. We are looking for an experienced telephone support technician. This technician will work with our telephone remote support team and work out of of our Fort Collins, Colorado office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
- Resolve issues for clients via telephone
- Recommend hardware and software improvements
- Track customer issues and resolutions
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on computer systems
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Create and manage user accounts and access permissions
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements or upgrades as needed

- Document all technical procedures and solutions for future reference
Qualifications/Experience:
- Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server) and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Experience with firewall configuration and management
- Familiarity with Group Policy Objects (GPO) for centralized management of computer settings
- Proficiency in using ticketing systems for issue tracking and resolution
- Ensure periodic backups and remote monitoring of client assets.
- Respond to client tickets in a prompt and timely manner.
Note: Additional experience or certifications in areas such as virtualization, cloud computing, or cybersecurity are a plus.
