Oncology - Radiation Physician

Start date or shifts: November ongoing
Daily schedule: Monday through Friday outpatient office coverage 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (variations 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM) with call every other week
Practice setting: Outpatient radiation oncology clinic
Types of procedures: 2D and 3D radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT, DIBH, SBRT, SRS, brachytherapy for cylinders (locums not placed on materials license), simulations (2-3 per day), new consults, re-evaluations, follow ups, daily image review, on-treatment visits, chart rounds, and network peer review
Number of patients: Approximately thirty treatment patients daily, two new consults, one re-evaluation, two follow ups per day, eight to twelve consults per week shared with second physician
Ages: Adult only
Requirements: Board certified in radiation oncology, DEA required, one year minimum experience, Pennsylvania license preferred but will consider IMLC or candidates needing to obtain a license, ability to take call in addition to regular shifts, availability to commit full time ongoing for one year
Additional information: Department includes two linacs (Trilogy and EDGE Truebeam), GE Lightspeed 16-slice widebore CT, staff includes two physicists, two dosimetrists, six radiation therapists, three nurses, two front office staff, and one financial counselor. Average case mix includes breast, lung, prostate, and other organ sites. Privileging estimated at thirty days. Payment contingent on timely completion of medical records within five days. Overtime requires preapproval. Cancellation clause requires sixty day advance notice. Local or drive-in candidates highly preferred; one flight per month covered. Travel covered for mileage, lodging, and transportation with specific caps and restrictions
