As Chief of Radiology, you will serve as both a clinical expert and a strategic leader, overseeing daily operations, mentoring staff, and driving quality improvement initiatives. You will balance 50% administrative responsibilities-such as managing departmental workflows, budgets, and compliance-and 50% clinical practice, providing high-quality diagnostic and interventional radiology services. The role requires collaboration with hospital leadership, referring physicians, and clinical teams to optimize imaging strategies and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership for the Radiology Department, promoting excellence in patient safety, quality, and service delivery.
- Supervise and mentor radiologists, technologists, and departmental staff.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, quality assurance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with hospital administration and other clinical departments to enhance imaging services.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, including technological advancements and adherence to evidence-based practices.
- Maintain a clinical practice by interpreting diagnostics and performing interventional procedures.
- Manage departmental budget and resource allocation to ensure sustainability.
- Participate in hospital committees and support strategic planning efforts.
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Radiology (ABR or equivalent).
- Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
- Proven leadership or administrative experience within a hospital or health system.
- Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
