Exciting Opportunity in Gastroenterology in Atlantic City, NJ

We're seeking a visionary Chief of Gastroenterology to shape an innovative academic division focused on excellence in clinical care, research, and education as part of our Vision 2030 strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and build a cutting-edge GI program in alignment with our strategic goals
• Create a dynamic academic GI division focusing on research, education, and advanced clinical care
• Develop and expand advanced GI services, including complex endoscopic procedures
• Recruit, train, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of GI hospitalists and support staff
• Provide expert consultation and management of complex GI cases as a hands-on clinical leader
• Drive collaboration across specialties, especially in cancer care
• Manage robust referral volumes and ensure consistent endoscopic block time
• Engage with underserved communities to enhance access and reduce disparities

Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology (MANDATORY)
• Active and unrestricted New Jersey state medical license or willingness to obtain it
• Hands-on experience in leadership roles such as Chief or Medical Director preferred
• History of malpractice or licensing issues considered, with limitations
• Open to experienced gastroenterologists only; new grads are not accepted

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology
• Active NJ state medical license (or willingness to obtain before start)
• Valid certifications in BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS (or willingness to obtain)
• Documentation of malpractice history disclosure and NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active)
