Staff Accountant - Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with various Managers/Directors/VP/SVPs across departments to provide monthly financial results, provide recommendations for improvements to business performance, and analyze accounts, operating trends & KPIs
• Monthly financial close,
  • Preparation of the monthly financial reporting package
  • Perform account reconciliations,
  • Perform monthly variance analyses

• Cross-trained in additional areas of Accounting that may include areas such as fixed assets, leases, and payroll.
• SEC Reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual form 10-K and quarterly 10-Q
  • Assist with the Earnings release process including preparation and reviewing of the prepared remarks
  • Assist with the KPMG quarterly review and annual audit process
• Internal Controls Compliance

Schedule

As we are a fast paced and growing company, we are looking for candidates that are flexible with their schedules and are deadline driven. The first two weeks of each month are deadline driven and the focus is to close the books and report the results to various parts of our organization. The remaining balance of the month is used for value added activities including the on-going improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes. During quarter-end and year-end months, balance our time with external reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance Active CPA highly preferred
• Active CPA or CPA eligible highly preferred
• In depth knowledge of Accounting theory and application of U.S. GAAP
• 0-2 year(s) of relevant Accounting experience; Big Four experience highly preferred
• Experience with working in a complex ERP system; SEC experience a plus
• Experience in technology, retail and/or e-commerce preferred

Interpersonal Skills:

• Professional and polished presence
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility to work in a growth environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, well organized and energetic

Technical Skills:

• Technical Accounting Research
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
