Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Part-Time Physical Therapist is needed for the 2025-2026 school year, serving K-12 students in a school setting located in Sumter, SC. This position involves a full semester contract, with onsite responsibilities three days per week, totaling 22.5 hours weekly. The role focuses on providing physical therapy services to support the developmental and physical needs of students across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted physical therapy interventions to K-12 students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other therapists to design and implement effective treatment plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and ply with state and federal regulations
- Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and physical acmodations within the school environment
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Physical Therapist license required
- Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to work onsite three days per week in Sumter, SC
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families
- Knowledge of school-based physical therapy regulations and best practices
