Cath Lab / Neuro Interventional Radiology RN

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Call Requirements:
- 12 On-Call Shifts per Month
- Weekday Call: 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend Call: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour call)
Position Summary:
We are currently hiring two experienced RNs for contract roles in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab / Neuro Interventional Radiology (IR) department. These are 13-week assignments starting September 22, offering full-time hours with rotating on-call responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled procedural nurse comfortable assisting in both Cath Lab and Neuro IR procedures, working closely with interventional radiologists, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during interventional procedures including cardiac catheterizations, neurovascular interventions, and other image-guided procedures
- Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after procedures
- Administer medications, IV contrast, and moderate sedation per protocol
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and radiation safety
- Respond to emergent situations with confidence and efficiency
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
Qualifications:
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact as applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab and/or Neuro IR experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current)
- Proficiency with procedural sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-procedure recovery
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to meet on-call obligations, including overnight and weekend shifts
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in high-volume academic or trauma center environments
- Prior travel nursing or contract assignment experience
- Familiarity with EPIC or other major EMRs
