Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the evaluation of patients' health conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care while ensuring accurate imaging results.
Duties
- Conduct ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to obstetric, gynecological, and abdominal scans.
- Utilize advanced sonography techniques to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound imaging.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret ultrasound results and assist in developing patient care plans.
- Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort throughout the examination process.
- Maintain accurate records of examinations and communicate findings effectively with the medical team.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology and sonography practices.
Requirements
- Certification in Sonography from an accredited program is required.
- Proven experience in maternal-fetal medicine or Ob/Gyn is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and imaging techniques.
- Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and understanding diagnostic radiology principles.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
