Rear Load Class B Driver

Join Our Team as a Rear-Load Garbage Truck Driver!

Are you a safety-conscious professional looking to advance your career? Our site in Sequim, WA, seeks dedicated individuals like you to join our team as a Rear-Load Garbage Truck Driver. Prior experience in waste management is a plus, and it will position you as an ideal candidate for this essential role.

Pay and Schedule:

• Competitive Wages: Starts at $28/hr

• Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed, totaling a 45-hour workweek.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a rear-load garbage truck along designated routes.

• Efficiently service customers by collecting recyclables as per route sheets.

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.

• Perform physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading refuse.

• Operate hydraulic controls to lift and dispose of trash at designated facilities.

• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Involves frequent heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 100 pounds.

• Adherence to safety protocols due to exposure to mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.

• Moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to fumes.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement required (Class A CDL not required).

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, communicating); high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum one year of directly related experience.

• Basic knowledge of truck components for pre-and post-trip inspections.

• Safety Sensitive role- Must be able to pass a drug test
