Maintenance PM

Responsibilities:

• Work with little to no supervision
• Always work in a safe manner and wear proper PPE
• Bring any unsafe condition to Maintenance Supervisor’s attention
• Able to recognize can defects and understand the importance of good quality
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment and machinery as scheduled
• Replace or repair defective parts including but not limited to bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches
• Control downtime by performing routine maintenance and instructing workers on the proper operation of equipment
• Troubleshoot sources of problems by observing mechanical equipment in operation
• Examine the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections and inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
• Assist with training and evaluating new and current employees as needed
• Lubricate and clean parts and equipment
• Maintain equipment parts and supplies inventories accurately
• Use lockout/tagout procedures when necessary
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Assist other production or quality areas as needed and complete other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, operating and maintaining equipment required.
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical properties and electricity required. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication and comprehension skills
• Basic math and measurement skills
• In depth understanding of industrial equipment
• Ability to solve practical problems or troubleshoot complex problems on machines
• Ability to use a variety of common hand tools and some specialty tools
• Strong mechanical abilities
• Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required
• I must participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours on off shift due to on-call program
• Understands quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.

The pay range is $22 – 27/hour. Exact salary offered will depend on candidate’s experience, work location, skills, etc.
