Medical Surgical/Oncology RN - Night Shift
Assignment Duration\nThis is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule\nNight shift, 4x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00), weekdays and every other weekend required.
Job Description\nWe are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical/Oncology RN to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to adult patients battling cancer, palliative care, and those requiring family education on oncological processes. The RN will also care for urology and telemetry patients within a 29-bed unit.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Administer chemotherapy and support patients during treatment. \n
- Provide care and management for central lines and ports. \n
- Administer blood products and PCA pumps as needed. \n
- Assist in bone marrow aspiration and pleurx chest tube management. \n
- Engage in family education and support for patient care processes. \n
- Maintain patient safety and monitor vital signs in telemetry settings. \n
- \n
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a medical-surgical or oncology setting. \n
- Current RN license in West Virginia or Compact RN License. \n
- Required certifications: BLS. ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred. \n
- Experience with telemetry, central line draws, blood administration, and PCA pumps. \n
