LOCATION: Volcano Vista High School AFJROTC Department, Room B-154
WEEKLY HOURS - .5 COURSE CREDIT: No more than 10 hours per week. No more than 6 hours per day, plus complete a self-reflection project and present it during the last week of the internship. Currently a 1 - 2 semester limit.
HOURLY PAY: $15/hr stipend (No taxes withheld)
WHEN WORK HAPPENS: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM unless instructed differently by your SEL Teacher/Advisor/Mentor Contact Name above.

Summary of Position
Hard Requirements:
- Enrolled in Volcano Vista High School AFJROTC
- Maintain good standing in AFJROTC, including attendance and meeting standards
- Parent/Guardian Permission

Exposure & Training provided through internship
You will work on logistics, event planning, and other projects as directed by the VVHS Air Force JROTC instructor staff. Typical tasks may include:
- Stocking supplies
- Issuing and collecting uniforms and equipment
- Preparing and packing equipment for competitions
- Assisting in setting up, running, and cleaning up after competitions or other JROTC events
- Entering data into the WINGS database, typically using your school-issued Chromebook
Working and Physical Conditions/Onboarding Requirements (**vaccinations, etc.)
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
Please speak to your SEL Teacher/Advisor/Mentor regarding working and physical conditions at your intern site. You will also be required to sign and upload a W-9 and Parental Permission form. In addition, you will be required to electronically acknowledge Non-Disclosure and Internship agreements.
As part of your application, you will be expected to fill out your emergency contact information, school, and other personal information as required by Albuquerque Public Schools Work-Based Learning programs and the New Mexico Public Education Department.
