Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician - Now Hiring

• 24 Hour Call 7a-7a

Clinical Details

• Perform a wide array of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass surgery, aortic surgery, valvular surgery, atrial fibrillation management procedures, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and endovascular aneurysm repair.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary care team.
• Collaborate with advanced practitioners, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
• Clinic open from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Clinic days are 2 or 3 days per week.
• Rounding in the hospital between 7 am and 8 am, with an APP usually in attendance.
• 24-hour call includes potential callbacks for consult or in-patient care.
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: Several APPs available during the week in the clinic and hospital, with an APP on call overnight and weekends.

Requirements

• Board-eligible or certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
• Current, unrestricted Commonwealth of Virginia license or licensure eligible.
• Current DEA certificate without restriction.
• Proficiency in a wide range of cardiothoracic procedures, including coronary artery bypass surgery, aortic surgery, valvular repair and replacement, atrial fibrillation/left atrial appendage management, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
• Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills required, with a strong commitment to high-quality patient care.
• Providers must obtain AHA certifications.
