Internal Medicine Physician

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: ASAP Start (credentialing est. at 90 days) 6 month to 1 year initial duration
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Clinical Details

• Outpatient only
• Daily Patient Census: 18 patients per day
• Call: Balanced call ratio split between physicians and sites
• Access to state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive resources
• Support Staff: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Primary Responsibilities:
  • Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
  • Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition
  • Monitors lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities
  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
  • Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient
  • Refers patients to medical specialists when necessary
  • Collaborate and manage APPs

Requirements

• Board-certified in Internal Medicine
• Licensed to practice medicine in California
• MD or DO degree
• Proven experience in a primary care setting
