Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and success of the organization’s Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs. This role also involves mentoring the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Laboratory staff in their professional development, while serving as the subject matter expert for the Food Safety and Food Quality Plans.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees food safety systems (SQF, HACCP, USDA, international standards), leads the customer complaint process, and supports production in resolving non-conformance and implementing preventive actions.
• Leads food safety events, recalls, and traceability, manages Food Safety and Quality Plans, and ensures compliance with FDA, USDA, and international regulations.
• Responsible for developing and improving site Hygiene Zoning programs while overseeing environmental surveillance through proactive auditing, analysis, and system modifications to ensure effectiveness.
• Leads employee training and development, manages QA Food Safety and Quality budgets, and serves as Food Safety Lead supporting HACCP and regulatory compliance.
• Drives business goals by aligning with all departments, participating in team meetings, suggesting process improvements, and promoting continuous improvement.
• Ensures safe operations through adherence to EHS programs, fosters teamwork, embraces accountability, and performs other duties as assigned.
