Prudential Healthcare Staffing LLP. Job Description for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

·        Assist with daily activities. This includes delivering and assisting patients with meals, turning and ambulating them and providing plenty of fresh water, as well as extra nourishment between meals

·        Set up medical equipment and assist with adjunct care for the patients, including icepacks, non -sterile dressings and therapeutic baths

·        Check patients’ vital signs, height and weight checks per policy and record information in the patient’s chart daily.

·        Help patients with personal hygiene. Provide patients with bedpans, help with baths,  make beds and keep rooms clean

·        Assist the nurses and other staff as needed

·        Assist with medication management

·        Respond to all call lights and emergencies in a timely manner

·        Follow through with all assignments on a timely basis in accordance to chain of command when Director of Health Services is not on duty

·        Review station bulletin board per shift for Special needs sheets and /or any other pertinent information

·        Provide emergency care within scope of practice

·        Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements as well as Joint Commission standards

·        Other tasks might be assigned based on the needs of facilities
