Job Summary:
  • Responsible for assisting the cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions on adult patients.
  • Candidate must be focused on high quality patient centered care through assessment and management of cardiac patients with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Registered nurse will be able to circulate, monitor and/or scrub diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as some pre and post care.
  • Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies and guides. Supervises and delegates appropriate duties to ancillary personnel
  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Employee supervises others.
  • Assists with orientation and training of others as directed.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of Infection Control Policies and Procedures. Use proper telephone etiquette.
  • Remains knowledgeable of areas of high regulatory risk that impacts job duties.
  • Adheres to code of conduct and compliance policy especially high risk areas of confidentiality, coding/documentation, conflict of interest, and timekeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

  • Participates in patient rounding.
  • Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state and local requirements and the TIC standards and or standards from other accrediting bodies.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • ACLS required within 3 months of hire
  • Licenses: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
  • 1-3 years experience in a Cath Lab preferred
  • Ability to perform 2 or more roles (Monitor, Scrub, and/or Circulate) within the Cath Lab Department.
  • Prior Cath Lab Experience.
  • Our standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
