Job Summary:
Qualifications:
- Responsible for assisting the cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions on adult patients.
- Candidate must be focused on high quality patient centered care through assessment and management of cardiac patients with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Registered nurse will be able to circulate, monitor and/or scrub diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as some pre and post care.
- Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies and guides. Supervises and delegates appropriate duties to ancillary personnel
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Employee supervises others.
- Assists with orientation and training of others as directed.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of Infection Control Policies and Procedures. Use proper telephone etiquette.
- Remains knowledgeable of areas of high regulatory risk that impacts job duties.
- Adheres to code of conduct and compliance policy especially high risk areas of confidentiality, coding/documentation, conflict of interest, and timekeeping.

- Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service through his/her attitude and actions, consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.
- Participates in patient rounding.
- Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state and local requirements and the TIC standards and or standards from other accrediting bodies.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- ACLS required within 3 months of hire
- Licenses: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
- 1-3 years experience in a Cath Lab preferred
- Ability to perform 2 or more roles (Monitor, Scrub, and/or Circulate) within the Cath Lab Department.
- Prior Cath Lab Experience.
- Our standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
