Job Description
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the school year serving a middle school caseload, grades 5 through 8, in Lowell, MA. This is a contract role within a school setting supporting students with speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support to 15-20 middle school students
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
- Monitor student progress and document activities and outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff
- Participate in meetings and trainings as required
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably middle school level
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies
- Commitment to supporting student success and development
Location:
- Lowell, Massachusetts (school setting)
