Complex Litigation Associate

A well-established litigation firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level associate to join its team in Madison, New Jersey. The role is ideal for a motivated litigator looking to take ownership of complex matters while working in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

About the Role:
This position offers hands-on experience managing diverse defense litigation matters from inception through resolution. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing case strategies, managing discovery, and advocating in court and mediation settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all phases of litigation, including depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial prep

• Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare pleadings

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategy and assess risk

• Maintain client communication and provide regular case updates

Ideal Background:

• JD from an accredited law school

• Admitted to practice in New Jersey

• 3–8 years of defense-side litigation experience, ideally within personal injury, general liability, catastrophic injury, or transportation

• Strong writing and analytical skills

• Ability to manage a full caseload with autonomy while collaborating effectively within a team
