Job Description
Location: Concrete Club, Part-Time
Do you enjoy having fun while making a difference? At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County, we're looking for a Youth Development Professional to join our Concrete Club. This role is perfect for someone who wants to connect with kids in a small-town setting, where strong relationships and community spirit are at the heart of everything we do.
Working at Concrete means every day is a mix of laughter, learning, and hands-on activities. You might spend one afternoon leading a science experiment, the next teaching a new game, and another cheering kids on as they finish homework. The goal is always the same: to give youth a safe place where they can belong, discover new interests, and feel supported.
What You'll Be Doing:
As part of the team, you'll create programs that help kids grow in character, stay active, and succeed in school. You'll bring fun and energy into the Club, encourage participation, and help members build the confidence to try new things. You'll also help keep the Club running smoothly by supporting your team and maintaining a positive, organized environment.
What We're Looking For:
While the Concrete Club itself is not a licensed childcare program, applicants must meet the requirements for licensed childcare in Washington State. This ensures you're ready to step in at other locations and prepared if licensing comes to Concrete in the future. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent (or be actively working toward one), complete background checks, a TB test, and provide proof of MMR vaccination or immunity as required by state law.. We're looking for someone reliable, flexible, and excited to work with youth. Previous experience with kids is a bonus, but we'll provide training if you're new to the field.
Special Pay Differential:
This position includes an additional $2.00 per hour wage differential specific to the Concrete Club.
Benefits Include:
Employees may qualify for Paid Time Off and access to an Employee Assistance Plan. All staff receive training and professional development to help them succeed and grow.
About Us:
Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We're committed to building strong communities through high-quality youth programs that promote resilience, belonging, and leadership. At the Concrete Club, that means bringing big opportunities to a small community-and making sure every child feels they belong.
If you're ready to bring your energy, creativity, and heart to work each day, apply now and start building brighter futures in Concrete.
