Security Officer - Full-time

Job Description

Gate Officer - Located in South Orange County 

Your job as a gate officer is to act as security by verifying visitors and keeping a guest log of incoming and outgoing personnel. Your duties are to check-in visitors, greet guests, and ensure that unauthorized people or products do not enter or leave the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security screening: Be the 1st point of contact and screen all incoming guest before allowing them inside the premises.
• Customer Service: Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in all interactions, demonstrating a commitment to resolving issues while preserving the dignity and respect of all individuals involved.

• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with management, colleagues, and external parties. Provide regular updates on any ongoing issues or concerns.

• Conflict Resolution: Actively listen and engage with individuals exhibiting strong personalities or challenging behavior. Use de-escalation techniques to manage and resolve conflicts while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor

• Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training related to conflict resolution, customer service, and security practices. Stay updated on best practices for managing strong personalities and challenging situations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in a security or customer service role

• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Proficiency in conflict de-escalation techniques and problem-solving.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in conflict resolution, crisis management, or security preferred.

• Attributes: Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism. Empathetic and composed, with a proactive approach to resolving conflicts.

Additional Requirements:

• Physical ability to stand/sit for extended periods.
• Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations.

Pay- $19-19.50/hr  DOE
