This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM; 1 hour lunch. Scanning of 4 outpatient echoes in the morning and 4 in the afternoon.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. The primary focus will be to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable evaluations and treatments of patients in a cardiology setting. This role involves performing cardiac ultrasound exams, interpreting findings, and maintaining high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound exams to evaluate cardiac structure and function, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler color, TEE, and stress echo.
• Interpret exams for preliminary reports, identifying critically abnormal findings to alert physicians.
• Clean and disinfect TEE probes following infection control standards.
• Record and report the results of all procedures accurately.
• Respond to calls for "stat/emergency echos" during hours outside of regular scheduling.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate records in accordance with service delivery standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Cardiac Ultrasonography preferred.
• ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required.
• BLS Certification from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross required.
• Attention to detail, strong collaboration skills, and ability to solve problems effectively.
• Technical expertise in cardiac ultrasound and familiarity with Philips Epiq ultrasound machines preferred.
