Location: Kayenta Health Center Kayenta, AZ

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (No weekends, no call)

Contract Length: Ongoing (with option to extend)

About the Opportunity Kayenta Health Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to provide outpatient care to adult patients in a rural, underserved Native American community in Northern Arizona. This is a mission-driven role offering a predictable weekday schedule and a supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct outpatient internal medicine care.
• Conduct comprehensive exams and diagnostic assessments.
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage therapeutic regimens.
• Collaborate with nurses, behavioral health providers, and specialists.
• Document patient encounters in the EHR.
• Participate in quality assurance and clinical team meetings.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of Internal Medicine residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Current DEA license.
• Minimum 2 years of internal medicine experience preferred.
• Experience with Native American or underserved populations is a plus.
