Collins Machine Works also offers employee referral bonuses in the amount of $1,000 per referral to be paid after the referred employee completed six months of satisfactory employment performance./p pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Major Responsibilities Essential Functions/span/p ul liCompare the quantity and part description of items received with the purchase order to ensure completeness and accuracy of order./li liExamine incoming items for defects in materials either from work performed or damage occurred in transit./li liCompare Material Test Reports to material specifications to ensure compliance./li liManage company's precision measurement equipment calibration program/li liInspect and measure items for dimensional accuracy, in accordance with purchase order and shipping documents./li liApprove or reject items and record inspections and disposition information on company receipt inspection documents./li liTag conforming and non-conforming material, as required./li liDeliver all Certificates of Conformance and Material Test Reports to the Quality Supervisor for review./li liScan and save reviewed and approved Certificates of Conformance and or Material Test Reports to quality files./li liMaintain cleanliness and organization in shipping and receiving./li liWork with Quality Supervisor and Production Manager to assure proper inventory levels are maintained./li liPickup and/or drop off of parts, calibrated equipment, and materials to suppliers and vendors, as needed./li liOther tasks as needed depending on shop workflow.br/li liEnsure material and assets are properly stored and maintained/li /ul pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Benefits/span/p ul liMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance/li li401K with company match/li liPaid Time Off/li liShort Term Disability and basic Life Insurance provided by company/li liSupplementary Insurance: Accident, Critical Illness, Voluntary Life/ADD, and Long Term Disability available/li liEmployee Assistance Programs/li liOpportunity for yearly bonus, profit sharing, overtime, and night shift differential/li /ul pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Qualifications/span/p ul liWill require the completion of a forklift certification./li liA valid Driver’s License with a good driving record is required for this position as there is a need for deliveries and pickups from vendors or our second Portsmouth location as business needs require./li liMust have experience with detail-oriented work. Mistakes made in Mil-Spec and Level 1 material could put the lives of the end user on the line./li liMust know how to inspect deliveries and be ready to refuse shipments if necessary./li liAttention to detail can be the key to a safe environment, not just for yourself, but for everyone around you./li liMust have the ability to follow directions, work independently, and with minimal supervision./li liMust have good time management skills to work on multiple projects within the same day. The ability to triage jobs based on the time they are due, not necessarily the size./li liMust have experience working with Microsoft 365 Products: Outlook, Excel, and Word./li liAbility to perform basic mathematical computations, read specifications, and have a basic understanding and knowedge of the periodic table of elements./li liBeing resourceful and having the ability and willingness to learn./li liA strong work ethic, an unplanned absence could prevent a crew from having the material needed to complete a job. overtime is possible and could be required as needed./li liOrganizational skills are required. This position is responsible for the tool room which includes shelves of vendor supplied materials and filing inspection reports. The Syer Road tool room is a hub for all 3 of our locations and is accessible at times by both our vendors and customers./li liLanguage skills - effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language. Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner.
