Schweitzer participates in the Polaris Adventures Ride Program to provide machines with the ultimate performance and comfort. This position is perfect for an excited, friendly individual who enjoys being outside for extended periods of time while showcasing the unique features of Schweitzer’s natural areas beyond the boundary lines. Safety and excitement are foundations for the guest experience./pp/ppbEssential Functions and Major Responsibilities/b:/pulliComplete a ‘pre-ride’ inspection of machines and trails to determine safe operations./liliProvide clear and concise orientation and instruction for operation of snowmobile to all guests./liliAct as a guide for up to 8 snowmobiles, gauging abilities, snow conditions, and other SBA tours of the day to determine routes./liliProvide flexibility in tour length, location, and content based on varying degree of experience of guests’ ability while providing assistance where appropriate./liliAdhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure safety of guest and self./liliProvide local and historical interpretations where appropriate along tour, time dependent./liliReturn machines into a ‘ready for service’ condition at the end of each tour./liliCoordinates and communicates frequently with other SBA tours in the field./liliWorks in conditions that involve exposure to unusual elements and extreme temperatures.  /li/ulpbSecondary Responsibilities/b:/pulliShovel snow around upper lodge location/liliProvide basic diagnosis and repair of minor snowmobile defects while communicating with manager and Shop Maintenance personnel for immediate resolution./liliInterface with Polaris Adventure Program’s machine check-in/ check-out and damage forms/liliProvides basic first aid when required./liliProvides backup support for other SBA tours in the field./liliSupports marketing department with gaining media shots throughout the day./liliOther duties as assigned./liliAvailability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts depending on operational needs./li/ulp/ppbSpecific Job Skills/b:/ppuLicense/Certifications/u- Idaho Outfitters and Guides License, American Red Cross first aid/ppuTechnical/u- Polaris Adventure App/ppuPhysical Capabilities/u- The ability to lift 50lbs#43;, shovel snow/ppuAdditional/u-   Knowledge of local historybr / /ppbEducation/Related Experience/b:/ppuMinimum education required/u- High school diploma or equivalent.
