pHigh Point has programs offering Acute Treatment Services (detoxification) for clients seeking voluntary Inpatient Substance Use Treatment and Clinical Stabilization Services/p
pHigh Point Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. liExcellent verbal and written communications skills/li
liAn understanding of the relationship between substance abuse and mental health issues and/or self-help programs/li
liDiagnostic, assessment skills and case management ability/li
liPromote and enhance ones knowledge about the symptoms of psychiatric illness and addiction/li
liInteragency collaboration/li
liAbility to facilitate a group/lecture/li
liAbility to set limits and enforce rules/li
liAn understanding of boundaries and ethics/li
liComputer skills/li

pstrongClinician Duties Responsibilities/strong/p
ul
liMaintains and submits any current Licensure or Certificate necessary for the performance of the position/li
liComply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations/li
liParticipate in Treatment Team Meetings/li
liMaintain assigned caseload; Providing direct care to patients – including assessments of the new patients, individual counseling, discharge planning, treatment plans, daily progress notes, daily groups, group note completion and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments/li
liResponsible for each assigned patients medical records. All records are to be professional, complete and thorough with entries made in a timely manners/li
liProvide direct care to the patients. This care will include, but not limited to, individual counseling, group facilitation, lectures, orientation for new patient’s. discharge and aftercare planning, and case management of patients assigned/li
liResponsible for linking patient’s with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the patient and his/her family access outpatient services when appropriate/li
liAttend all unit, facility meetings and case conferences as directed by the Clinical Director/li
liAttend mandatory trainings/li
liResponsible for continued education in the field of substance abuse and related courses/li
liResponsible for contacting the insurance company for authorization, as needed/li
liUtilize walkie-talkie as campus responder/li
liUtilize standards precautions at all times/li
liDemonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient’s rights/li
liOther duties as assigned by the Program Director, the Clinical Director, and/or the Senior Clinician/li

liBachelor’s degree in behavioral health field/li
liMinimum of one (1) year of supervised substance abuse counseling experience/li
