We are seeking a strongRegistered Nurse (RN)/strong with strong clinical skills and a passion for leadership to serve as a strongTeam Leader/strong within our cardiovascular practice. In this pivotal role, you will not only provide direct patient care but also guide and support clinical team members, ensuring excellence in service delivery, patient outcomes, and workflow coordination./p pAs a Team Leader, you will collaborate closely with physicians, management, and staff to maintain high standards of care, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of accountability and support./p pstrongHow You’ll Drive Our Mission Forward:/strong/p ul li pServe as a clinical lead, providing daily oversight and support to nursing and medical assistant staff to ensure effective team coordination and exceptional patient care./p /li li pAct as a primary liaison between physicians/providers and clinical team members to ensure efficient communication and task delegation./p /li li pTriage patients and assess emergency cases, documenting medications, allergies, vital signs, complaints, and history in both paper and electronic medical records./p /li li pMaintain accurate and complete clinical documentation, including patient wait times, chart notes, phone interactions, allergies, and medications./p /li li pEnsure completion of physician/provider orders and assist with procedures including injections, test scheduling, and medication sample distribution./p /li li pMonitor the quality of clinical work, address workflow gaps, and assist in resolving patient care issues in real-time./p /li li pAssist with onboarding and training of new clinical staff and provide mentorship and coaching as needed./p /li li pPerform blood work (venipuncture and finger sticks), Coumadin clinic support, and pacemaker/defibrillator interrogation as needed./p /li li pProvide patient education regarding diagnostic procedures (EKGs, Holters, stress tests, nuclear medicine, etc.) and assist with family communication when necessary./p /li li pRespond to patient and pharmacy calls, coordinate with home health agencies and other providers, and manage prescription refills./p /li li pComplete required medical forms, including home health requests, FMLA, disability statements, and doctor’s excuses./p /li li pManage insurance flags and complete pre-certifications for testing when needed./p /li li pSupport supply ordering, clinic safety checks, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., crash cart, medication fridge, drug closet)./p /li li pProvide cross-coverage to other CIS clinics and departments as needed./p /li li pCollaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and participate in clinical quality initiatives./p /li li pPerform other duties as assigned, aligned with the CIS mission and patient-first philosophy./p /li /ul pstrongWhat Makes You a Great Match:/strong/p ul li pCurrent and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana (required)./p /li li pOne to two years of clinical experience in cardiology or a similar setting (preferred)./p /li li pBasic Life Support (BLS) certification (required); ACLS preferred./p /li li pSuccessful completion of EKG and general cardiology courses (required within 12 months of hire)./p /li li pDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and hold team members accountable./p /li li pExcellent communication, organization, and critical thinking abilities./p /li li pStrong EMR proficiency and comfort in fast-paced environments./p /li li pA commitment to excellence in patient care, teamwork, and continuous improvement./p /li /ul
