Pre-T Nurse Aide - Full-time

pPAY:  $15 - $16.50 an hour/p pGENERAL CONSIDERATIONS:/p ul liThe team member during this “prior to training” period, can’t perform any direct/physical patient care/li liThe position is part of the Nurse Aide Training Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP)/li liOnce this team member completes the nurse aide classes and required clinical work, the team member is considered a Nurse Aide in Training (NAT)./li liThe facility may not use any individual working in the facility as a nurse aide for more than 4 months under the Pre-T or NAT positions. The team member must pass the licensure test to become a STNA during this time period.  If the team member fails to pass the licensure test in the 4 month period, they either have to be terminated or be moved to a non-nursing position/li /ul p /p pRESPONSIBILITIES/p ol liAnswer call lights/li liPass ice and water to patients between meals. Assist with hydration cart and HS snack pass/li liAssist with making patient beds/li liAssist with laundry portion of STNA job:/li /ol ul liPut away patient’s clean personal laundry./li liStock the clean linen closets following proper infection control techniques/li liClean and organize patient drawers under the direction of patient/responsible party/li liEmpty soiled utility containers in outside trash/li /ul ol liMark personal items (i.e. toothbrush, denture cups, toothpaste, etc…) to prevent cross contamination/li liSet dining room tables (linens and silver ware) in prep for meal service/li liMeal Service – team member is not permitted to feed any patient/li /ol ul liPassing trays and drinks to residents in dining room/li liDelivering room trays to patients room/li /ul ol liPerform one on one visits/companionship with patients/li liComplete any other non-direct care task assigned by nurse or unit manager/li liAssist with activities if no other nursing related activities are needed/li /ol pstrongColdspring /strongstrongis an EOE/M/F/D/V and Smoke-Free Workplace/strong/p
