This role provides high quality customer service to all internal clients. This role will directly report to the Director of Facilities with a dotted line to the program Site Director./span/div divspan /span/div pstrongspan style="text-decoration: underline;"spanEDUCATION and CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/span/span/strong/p ul listrongEducational Background:/strong High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent./li listrongExperience:/strong A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience or demonstrated practical experience in a similar role./li listrongTechnical Skills:/strong Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry is highly desirable./li listrongSoftware Proficiency:/strong Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)./li listrongCommunication Teamwork:/strong Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment./li /ul pspanspan style="text-decoration: underline;"strongESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES/strong/span/spanspanspan style="text-decoration: underline;" /span/spanspanspan style="text-decoration: underline;" /span/span/p pspan(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. )  /spanspanspan style="text-decoration: underline;" /span/span/p ul liAdhere to the daily Maintenance Checklist specific to the site and assigned schedule./li liSupervise snow and ice removal from parking lots, entrances, and sidewalks to ensure the safety of visitors, students, families, pedestrians, and vehicles./li liMonitor the proper functioning of all equipment and coordinate with management for timely maintenance and repairs./li liOversee the operation of HVAC and boiler systems, performing required tests and maintaining accurate logs to ensure compliance./li liEnsure all tools and equipment are securely stored and well-organized./li liParticipate in special facility projects related to events and other unique requirements./li liCollaborate with the Site Director and Director of Facilities to plan and execute ongoing building maintenance and improvement initiatives./li liContribute suggestions and ideas to the Director of Facilities for potential upgrades or modifications to classrooms and other building areas./li liRemove trash daily from classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, kitchen, restrooms, indoor play areas, and outdoor playgrounds./li liPerform daily sweeping and mopping of floors in classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, kitchens, and other designated areas./li liFollow the established schedule for floor stripping and waxing as needed./li liVacuum carpeted areas and rugs daily to maintain cleanliness./li liAdhere to the cleaning schedule for rinsing and refreshing carpets and rugs as required./li liMaintain the cleanliness and safety of the building’s exterior and surrounding areas./li liReplenish soap, paper towels, tissues, and other consumables in classrooms, restrooms, and kitchens daily./li liSet up and take down equipment as needed for meetings and events./li liSubmit requests for cleaning supply replenishment to the Director of Facilities as necessary./li liDust and polish furniture, surfaces, and other school areas to maintain a clean and welcoming environment./li liSafely store cleaning materials out of children’s reach./li liThoroughly clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilet seats, washroom floors, sinks, and other fixtures./li liEnsure the building’s interior and exterior remain clean and well-maintained at all times./li liSweep outdoor areas and remove debris and trash to maintain cleanliness./li liPick up and transport items and equipment as needed./li liConduct a safety and compliance walk-through of the building and playgrounds at the start of each shift./li liComplete the facilities checklist and ensure all required compliance logs are up to date./li liPerform additional duties as assigned by management./li /ul ul/ul pstrongThese duties are not exhaustive.
