pstrongJob Description: /strongThe Maintenance Technician will be responsible for plumbing, electrical, access control, and HVAC maintenance as well as any other duties assigned by the Facilities Manager. We’re looking for an experienced professional who can take initiative and help anticipate problems before they occur. We operate more than thirty sites around the Delaware Valley providing Behavioral health services in various types of facilities that require constant support and maintenance. /p

pstrongJob Duties:/strong/p
pPerforms maintenance tasks/p
ul
liMakes needed repairs utilizing carpentry, drywall, and painting skills./li
liMakes electrical repairs./li
liEnsures prompt correction of any safety or health deficiencies./li
liMakes repairs as needed or in response to specific requests./li
liRepairs and/or installs ceramic and vinyl tile./li
liIdentifies and performs plumbing repairs such as sinks, tubs, and water closets./li
liClears sidewalks and other paved areas of snow and ice./li
liAbility to diagnose and make repairs to appliances./li
liShares acquired knowledge and skills with other Facilities staff/li
liProvides support to the department/li
liMay assist the manager in long and short-term planning./li
liPurchases miscellaneous supplies as needed./li
liWorks with the Manager in preparing a list of materials routinely used./li
liParticipates in rotation of on-call responsibility if required./li

liAttends work regularly according to assigned work schedule and following Agency policy./li
liAttends and participates in in-service training, staff meetings, and other activities to facilitate professional development./li
liWorks cooperatively with others including all staff, supervisors, administrators, co-workers, individuals served, community professionals, customers, vendors, and the public./li

pstrongMinimum Requirements:/strong/p
pstrongEducation:/strong High School diploma or equivalent preferred/p
pstrongExperience:/strong Four years of experience utilizing maintenance skills preferred. May require the use of a vehicle based on assignment. Must have an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency’s insurance carrier and by Agency policy/p
pstrongClearances: /strongPennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal clearance, and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list/p
pstrongNote: /strongAt the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience/p
