Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination./p pstrongQUALIFICATIONS:/strong/p ul liMust have a High School diploma or GED/li liExperience working in a kitchen or dining area strongly preferred/li liExcellent customer service skills including a positive and pleasant demeanor at all times/li liMust exemplify a character rooted in respect, patience, sensitivity towards a diverse population/li liMust be able to work under pressure./li liMust be detail-oriented, punctual, dependable, and personable./li liAbility to work alongside staff and volunteers with a variety of skill levels and dispositions/li liAbility to maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety/li liMust maintain Food Service Certification once acquired which must be acquired within 30 days of employment/li liExcellent communication skills/li liMust pass a criminal background check/li liMust acknowledge maintain Protect the Mission boundaries at all times as it relates to group demographics the PTM program/li liAbility to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends/li /ul pstrongRESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/p ul liMaintain a high standard of cleanliness in personal grooming./li /ul pstrongKitchen/strong/p ul liEnsure that the dining area is clean, clutter-free, and welcoming./li liAssist with any assigned food service preparation./li liWash and store dishes, pots, and pans./li liCommunicate stocking and inventory needs and assist with inventory procedures./li liMaintain cleanliness of all dishwashing and food prep areas/li liReset and restock the dining hall as assigned/li liFlip the dining hall and kitchen between groups as assigned./li liEnsure assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner./li liBe willing to accomplish any job that may enhance Ponderosa’s food service experience./li /ul pstrongHospitality/strong/p ul liGreet dining guests with a welcoming and joyful demeanor./li liAssist in the Conifer Café as scheduled and assigned./li liReflect and implement the Camp Ponderosa mission in the Kitchen and Dining Hall/li liListen to guest feedback and report concerns to immediate supervisor as soon as possible/li liObserve and report issues that would be cause for concern impacting service excellence/li liEnsure that guests are having a good time and enjoying the facilities, food, and fellowship/li /ul pstrongPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:/strong/p pQualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
