This position will also be responsible for providing training, technical assistance, and support staff across assigned Community Partner sites, as needed. /p pstrongEducation Certification Requirements/strong/p pAssociate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field and a minimum of 5 years of direct teaching experience./p pstrongExperience Training Requirements/strong/p ul li Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite./li li Must be a fast learner and good at following very detailed instructions./li li Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. /li li Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with others. /li liMust be able to maintain confidentiality./li liMust be able to travel to multiple schools in diverse communities./li /ul pstrongDesired Outcomes/strong/p pProvide regular support and assistance to Partners to achieve the following goals:/p ul liTeachers will use outcome data and tailor the curriculum according to children’s individual needs./li liFamilies will receive services and support during the referral process./li liChildren with suspected and identified disabilities will receive services in the least restrictive environment./li liChildren’s records will be complete, accurate and up to date in the electronic tracking system (COPA)./li /ul pstrongEssential Job Requirements Duties/strong/p ul liVisit schools regularly to support teachers in the implementation of the education curriculum./li liMonitor education files at the sites and utilize the computerized tracking system to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance./li liMonitor education services to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards./li liEnsure timely tracking and follow-up with findings./li liAssist staff and parents with the diverse learner evaluation and referral process./li liSupport staff in the coordination of diverse learner services and interdisciplinary team meetings./li liAssess classroom equipment and materials regularly. /li liAssist sites with completing annual self-assessments./li liProvide training and technical assistance to assigned Community Partner sites, as needed./li liAssess program quality and make recommendations for program improvements to ensure compliance with funding requirements and quality programming for children./li liRepresent Chicago Commons at applicable meetings and maintains a liaison with the community, neighborhood institutions, and other relevant organizations. /li liPerforms other duties as assigned./li /ul pstrongPhysical Requirements: /strong/p pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform. /p pWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and read English proficiently.
