Work is usually performed independently and in accordance with standard practices of the trade./ppbr//ppstrongJob Duties:/strong/polliReviews pending work orders and establish dates of completion with supervisor./liliEnsure adequate supply of raw materials to complete pending work orders by checking quantities on hand./liliEstimate materials needed for pending jobs and time to complete jobs./liliPerform job tasks efficiently and effectively by grouping different job orders with similar job requirements./liliPerform multitasked assignments on an as needed basis to insure highest level of productivity.nbsp;nbsp;/liliMaintain tools used in the shop./liliAdhere to all safety rules and regulations. nbsp;Wear safety glasses and dust protection as needed./liliOperate power saws, band saws, shapers, joiners, planers and hand tool as per manufacturers specifications./liliMaintain file on all completed orders.nbsp;/liliMaintains cleanliness of the shop and assigned areas by cleaning works areas of dust and debris daily.nbsp;/liliPromotes positive interaction with customers by answering customers questions accurately./liliWill only perform work orders for customers that have a completed white’s lumber order form./liliMaintains a high level of quality control on work performed by inspecting work to ensure it meets customer specifications.nbsp;/li/olpbr//ppRequirements/ppstrongEducation:/strong/ppGraduation from high school, vocational school or equivalent providing knowledge, skills abilities required for the performance of duties./ppbr//ppstrongRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:/strong/polliKnowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade./liliAbility to make accurate estimates of time and material./liliSkilled in the use of the tools, materials and equipment used in the carpentry and countertop trade./li/olpstrongWorking Conditions/Physical Demands:/strong/polliProlong Periods of Standing./liliOccasional lifting of items up to and over 100 lbs./liliUsing hands, reaching above shoulders./li/olpbr//ppstrongSafety Statement:/strong/ppWhite’s Lumber, Inc. recognizes the potential for accidents in performing job related tasks.
