The employee must be able to work weekends as needed./ppbr//ppustrongGENERAL SUMMARY:/strong/uu /uA Driver will load and unload materials, store material in warehouse and yard, deliver merchandise to customers, maintain good housekeeping in yard, warehouse, and vehicles./ppbr//ppustrongESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:/strong/u/ppbr//pulliAdherence to all safety regulations./liliBeing familiar with the grades, dimensions, and species of lumber in stock, and other merchandise stored in the yard or warehouse.nbsp;/liliLoad and deliver merchandise safely and efficiently to customers./li/ulpustrongGENERAL DUTIES:/strong/u/pulliPerform and document pre and post daily inspections on vehicles as required by OSHA and the Department of Transportation/liliComplete Driver inspection reports./liliOperate/Drive vehicle in a safe and legal manner./liliMaintain maximum security for merchandise loaded on the vehicle./liliKeep vehicle in a neat and orderly fashion, clean interior at the end of each day./liliAccurately assemble and properly load merchandise on ones truck for delivery./liliOperate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner at all times./liliMaintain a neat and clean appearance./liliAttend all meetings as requested./liliUse proper material handling techniques to reduce damage to goods and personal injury./liliBe able to tolerate and function in diverse seasonal climate changes./liliAttend/Participate in in-service training and Safety meetings./liliReport any safety issues to immediate supervisor./liliStore materials in their proper location./liliLoad vehicles with the appropriate material as per the quantities listed on order./liliConvert orders to Sales./liliCollect money on all C.O.D. orders, obtain authorization to leave material at site for non -collectible COD’s./liliNotify sales person of any items not shipped due to inventory shortages./liliEnsure quantities and products to be delivered match delivery order./liliPerform duties of yard worker as needed including waiting on customers, stock merchandise, keep yard clean by picking up trash, bands, lumber covers, and keep materials/products in a neat and orderly fashion./liliCommunicate any customer issues to Management immediately./liliAssume other duties as workload and need dictate./li/ulpbr//ppRequirements/ppustrongMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/strong/uu:/u High School Diploma or G.E.D. The individual must be able to lift at least One Hundred Twenty-Five Pounds. To operate CDL class vehicle individual must possess a valid CDL Class B License recognized by the State of New York.
