If so, join the specialists in the medicine of motion today!/ppbr//ppThe Radiologic Technologist performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols while ensuring optimal care/treatment to our patient population. This position uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures./ppbr//ppstrongEssential Duties and Responsibilities/strong/pulliEnsures correct patient and exam identification./liliEducates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation./liliPositions patient to achieve a high level of image quality and performs diagnostic procedures as required./liliTakes appropriate action to resolve imaging quality issues/liliIs proficient in the technical operation of all diagnostic equipment; uses proper care in handling equipment./liliTroubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary./li/ulpRequirements/pulliAssociate’s Degree from a certified Radiologic Technology program./liliOne year experience in imaging in similar setting, preferred./liliFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, ability to quickly learn medical software system, and similar computer applications./liliValid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification, required. Must be in good standings./liliBasic Life Support (BLS) certification, required./liliCore competencies in job knowledge, teamwork, communication, quality, safety and security, and confidentiality./liliValid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willing to travel to multiple locations./li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements/strong/pulliThe work environment is a typical medical office environment. The employee must be able to complete their work satisfactorily in an environment where there are significant distractions, including staff, patients, and vendors walking through and conversing, telephones ringing, conversations carrying over, loud noises, and interruptions to answer questions from others. The position is occasionally exposed to minimal radiation./liliWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls up to 8 hours per day. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear up to 8 hours per day. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 8 hours a day./liliThe employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and should do so in a sound and safe manner.
