Licensed Practical Nurse LPN - Women's Health - Full-time

pDescription/ppCIFC Health's Women's Department is seeking a full-time, compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. nbsp;You will work alongside the doctors, nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest standard of care to our patients./ppbr//ppstrongResponsibilities within LPN License:/strong/pp- LPNs gather information to be used by providers in assessment and patient care./pp- LPNs administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers/pp- LPNs monitor and record vital signs, medical history and symptoms/pp- LPNs assist with physical exams and medical procedures as needed and within licensure/pp- LPNs provide education to patients and families on healthcare topics/pp- LPNs maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care/pp- LPNs collaborate with school nurses, WIC colleagues, DCF and other medical departments as needed. Completes paperwork needed by external organization (e.g. school PE forms)./pp- LPNs triage for calls on patients, using established protocols to determine appropriate care, including at home management, or timing and location of medical visits./pp- LPNs provide patient/family education including education on after hours, triage and referral services, and disease states./pp- LPNs contact specialists to obtain letters and results and helps to set up home therapies if appropriate as determined by a provider./ppRequirements/pp- High School Diploma or GED/pp- Current LPN license in the state of Connecticut/pp- Previous experience in pediatrics preferred/pp- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual strongly encouraged to apply/pp- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment/pp- Attention to detail and ability to multitask/pp- Understanding of medical terminology and nursing protocols/pp- Experience with electronic medical records required; eClinical Works preferred./ppbr//ppBenefits:/ppCompetitive compensation commensurate on experience. nbsp;Comprehensive fringe benefits package including health care coverage and retirement program.
