General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a car wash location to ensure efficient, profitable, and customer-focused service. This role includes managing a team, maintaining a clean and operational facility, maximizing membership sales, and delivering exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Recruit, train, schedule, and manage team members, including Assistant Managers and Car Wash Attendants

·         Monitor team performance and provide regular coaching and feedback

·         Promote a positive and professional work environment

·         Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans when necessary

·         Oversee daily site operations, including opening/closing procedures, staffing, and inventory management

·         Ensure all wash equipment is functional and maintained to safety and performance standards

·         Conduct site audits and inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and efficiency

·         Work closely with maintenance personnel and vendors for equipment servicing

·         Lead by example in delivering outstanding service to every customer

·         Resolve customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally

·         Ensure the site consistently meets appearance, speed, and quality expectations

·         Drive sales of wash memberships and up-sell services to increase revenue

·         Motivate and train staff to achieve sales goals

·         Track performance metrics and take corrective action to meet targets

·         Maintain accurate records of labor hours, sales, inventory, incidents, and maintenance logs

·         Adhere to and enforce all company policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures

·         Manage budgets and control costs related to labor, supplies, and utilities

Qualifications:

·         High School Diploma or GED required; college degree or relevant certification is a plus

·         2+ years of management experience, preferably in retail, service, or car wash industry

·         Strong leadership and team development skills

·         Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with car wash equipment (preferred)

·         Sales and customer service experience

·         Proficient with computers, POS systems, and basic reporting tools

·         Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

·         Ability to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods

·         Able to lift 25–50 lbs as needed

·         Work in outdoor conditions year-round
