We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our team, specializing in both residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials, as well as installing structures such as framing, cabinetry, drywall, and fixtures. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

Residential Projects:

  • Construct, install, and repair structures such as framing, decks, roofing, doors, windows, cabinetry, and trim.

  • Perform home renovations, remodeling, and custom carpentry work.

  • Read and interpret residential blueprints and project specifications.

  • Collaborate with homeowners and contractors to ensure design expectations are met.

Commercial Projects:

  • Build and install structural frameworks (walls, floors, ceilings) in commercial settings.

  • Install drywall, acoustic ceilings, partitions, and finish carpentry in offices, retail spaces, and industrial buildings.

  • Follow commercial building codes and safety standards.

  • Work with project managers and subcontractors on site coordination and timelines.

General Duties:

  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials using hand and power tools.

  • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.

  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes and company safety policies.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

  • Document project progress and report issues to supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter in both residential and commercial settings.

  • Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.

  • Proficient in using electrical and manual tools and measurement equipment.

  • Ability to read technical documents and blueprints.

  • Excellent understanding of safety protocols.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.

  • Physical strength and stamina; ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
