Right now, our firm is at an important transition point.

We have a large, profitable individual tax base- over 1,200 returns annually- where some are tied to business relationships, others are loyal long-time clients.

We want to maintain that strong book of business while shifting our focus toward higher-value recurring services for small business clients bookkeeping, advisory, entity structuring, tax planning.

The owner is looking for a next-generation leader who can manage day-to-day tax operations, mentor staff, and eventually take the reins of the practice.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a well-run firm with strong profits, work directly with the owner, and build a future you won't find in a big firm. Our goal is to see this person become the Managing Partner within 1-3 years maximum.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and review tax engagementsfrom complex business returns (S-Corps, partnerships, trusts) to high-volume individual returns.
• Oversee staff & junior CPAs, reviewing their work, answering technical questions, and helping them grow.
• Maintain strong relationships with our small business & individual clients, being their trusted advisor all yearnot just tax season.
• Help us streamline and improve our 1040 practice, keeping it profitable and efficient.
• Identify opportunities for business clients to expand into monthly recurring services (bookkeeping, advisory, planning).
• Partner with the owner on succession planning, growth strategy, and the firm's future direction.

What You'll Bring

• CPA license (preferred) or EA with strong small-business & individual tax experience
• 5+ years in public accounting- comfortable with high-volume tax seasons but also with complex business planning
• Ability to review and mentor staff while maintaining efficiency & quality
• Entrepreneurial mindset- someone who wants more than just a job and is ready to step into a leadership role
• Solid communication skills- you can explain tax concepts clearly to business owners and individuals alike
