Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A position is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) with licenses in the state of California to support early childhood and elementary-aged students. This contract role is located in Porterville, CA, serving one to two school sites within an early childhood school setting.
Key Details:
- Number of openings: 3 SLP positions
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days a week
- Contract duration: August 13 through June 4 (Non-School Year contract)
- Caseload size: Up to 55 students
- Student age range: Pre-Kindergarten through Elementary
- Interview availability: Immediate; in-person interviews required, no virtual option
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold either SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence), SLP-CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year), or SLP-School licensure
- Licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of California
- Experience working within early childhood or elementary settings preferred
- Strong clinical skills to manage diverse caseloads effectively
- Ability to collaborate with educators and families in a school setting
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders among students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students educational goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support student success
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student progress evaluations
