Are you ready to go beyond? **What You Will Do:** **_We have an opportunity for a EHS Team Member Weekend Days: AWW 1(6am-6pm) Fri-Sat-Sun shift to be based in Columbus, GA._** Primary Responsibilities: + Partner with the leadership team and line supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and adherence to P&W procedures and UTC EH&S Standard Practices. + Identify health & safety hazards and controls to mitigate risks. + Assist the EH&S team with tracking implementation of EH&S initiatives and projects across the organization + Contribute by updating and reviewing all Columbus EH&S instructions and training materials + Data entry and validation in EH&S Sustainability Management and Reporting Toolkit as required + Gather data on open items from PW sites on Safety, Health, and Risk Reduction metrics or projects + Support implementation of the Pratt & Whitney EH&S Management system + Organize and maintain assigned EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations. + Participate in the site EH&S Council + Continuously improve EH&S performance and operations, including improvement programs and corrective actions, environmental protection projects, conservation activities, and integration of EH&S initiatives into overall business operations + Interface with government agencies to maintain regulatory compliance (audits, annual reports, permit applications, etc.) + Conduct safety inspections and analyzes audit findings to develop corrective actions and achieve and maintain safe work practices + All other duties as assigned **Qualifications You Must Have:** + High School Diploma/GED + US Citizenship + 2+ years of relevant experience in EHS /manufacturing environment. **Qualifications We Value:** + Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a related field, with minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience. + Demonstrated technical knowledge of manufacturing processes + Team leadership skills including influence, delegation, and management + Core Values including Ethical Behavior, Customer Focused Improvement, Accountability & Teamwork, Openness & Trust + Organizational / project management skills + Presentation and communication skills + Demonstrated record of improvement in EHS metrics and culture culminating in successful audits + Good interpersonal skills and cultural awareness + Experience in risk assessment and reduction **What We Offer:** + Medical, dental, vision and life insurance + Short-term disability, long-term disability and parental leave + 401(k) match + Flexible spending accounts + Employee assistance program + Employee Scholar Program (No waiting period!) + Paid time off including: 3 weeks of vacation, 5 personal sick days, 3 unpaid days for unique situations at supervisor discretion, and 12 paid government holidays **What is my role type?** In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
