Med/Surg RN - 12H Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.
We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg RN for a 12-hour night shift. The ideal candidate will provide acute care in a dynamic medical/surgical unit.
Job Description
The Med/Surg RN will care for patients with a variety of diagnoses including COPD exacerbation, CHF, sepsis, and altered mental status across pediatric to geriatric age ranges. The role requires effective utilization of clinical skills and teamwork with nursing aides.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a primary care model
- Monitor and manage patient's vital signs and medical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and families
- Participate in charge duties as needed
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a Med/Surg setting
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system within the last two years
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Active NY nursing license or proof of application
Schedule
The position requires a 12-hour night shift, with a minimum of every other weekend and holiday requirements.
