We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to provide confidential, hands-on HR and administrative support at our Lewistown manufacturing facility. This is an on-site, temporary role ideal for:

  • An experienced HR professional looking for a short-term opportunity to make an immediate impact.
  • A recent graduate or current student with HR internship or academic HR exposure.

About the Role

Location: Lewistown, PA | Manufacturing Facility
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Weekends & Holidays Off

In this 12–16-week assignment, you will support the HR team with essential operations including confidential recordkeeping, hourly recruiting, and onboarding while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. Your ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, maintain accuracy under deadlines, and communicate clearly with employees will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, audit, and update personnel, medical and I-9 records with strict confidentiality.
  • Support hourly recruiting, candidate selection, and onboarding activities.
  • Assist HR department as a point of contact for employees, answering basic HR-related questions.
  • Provide administrative and project-based support to the HR team.
  • Assist in compliance reporting and HR documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree (Human Resources or related field preferred).
  • For recent grads/students: HR internship or academic HR program exposure required.
  • Previous HR experience required (manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and general employment law compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
