Title: Medical Assistant
Location: East Islip, NY 
Pay Rate: $20-$25 DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-8pm (variable shifts) & two Saturdays per month

Position Summary-

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role supports physicians and clinical staff while ensuring a smooth and professional patient experience. You’ll assist with both clinical and clerical duties, making you a vital part of our practice.

• Room patients & document vitals, medications, and visit reason in EMR

• Perform measurements: height, weight, BP, pulse, temperature

• Collect blood and lab specimens; perform basic lab tests

• Assist with exams, procedures, and patient preparation

• Enter proposed orders into EMR for provider review

• Obtain prior results from labs, radiology, or other offices

• Explain treatments, medications, and instructions to patients

• Clean/sterilize instruments; maintain exam room cleanliness and supplies

• Handle administrative duties: phones, scheduling, referrals, patient follow-up

• Ensure HIPAA & OSHA compliance at all times

• High School Diploma/GED required

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

• EMR and computer experience required

• Strong communication skills & professional phone etiquette
