Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position with surgical and medical patient exposure.
Responsibilities
- Work on a Med/Surg surgical unit with occasional medical overflow
- Night shift schedule with every other weekend required
- Unit features 35 private patient rooms and two nurses stations
- Patient ratio is typically 1:5-6 on night shift
- Support staff includes patient care techs for each shift
- Shift supervisor present during night hours
- Responsibilities include caring for surgical and some medical patients as needed
- Team-oriented environment with support from patient care techs and a shift supervisor
- Every other weekend work required; management is open to discussing holiday requests
- The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license for Illinois required
- Must have experience with adult Med/Surg patients
- Current state license must be active and in good standing
