Looking for a career where your expertise actually makes an impact? At Earth Systems, we’re not your typical environmental consulting firm. With 30+ locations nationwide, our teams of scientists and engineers tackle geotechnical and environmental challenges head-on—combining technical know-how with practical solutions that matter.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a Geotechnical Engineer who knows the consulting world—someone who’s worked with firms providing Geology, Environmental Science, and Environmental Engineering services. If you thrive in a fast-moving, multidisciplinary environment, this role will give you the chance to lead from the field and solve real-world problems head-on. You’ll take charge of project leadership across multiple regions, using your technical expertise and practical mindset to deliver results that matter.
The ideal candidate will hold a PE license and bring proven experience in the environmental consulting industry, with the confidence to step into a leadership role and the drive to make an impact.
What You’ll Do
Lead geotechnical investigations and in-situ testing
Deliver foundation design, slope stability, and settlement analysis recommendations
Write and present clear, actionable reports for clients
Scope, budget, and manage projects with support from a collaborative team
Oversee fieldwork and lab testing to ensure QA/QC
Partner with clients, regulators, and project teams to keep work on track
Mentor junior staff and share your expertise
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus)
5+ years of experience in geotechnical or applied environmental consulting
PE license or EIT with the ability to obtain licensure in the state of hire within 12 months
Proficiency in AutoCAD, gINT, GeoStudio, or similar software
Strong writing skills and experience preparing technical reports
Willingness to travel to project sites within your region
What We Offer
Competitive salary and full benefits (medical, dental, vision, life)
401(k) with company match
PTO, holidays, and flexible scheduling
Phone reimbursement
Hybrid work (office/field/home mix)
Paid training, certifications, and continuing education
A growth-focused, collaborative culture where your voice matters
At Earth Systems, you’ll have a seat at the table from day one—and the chance to shape meaningful projects that drive real change.
